Salary: $305,000 - $385,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end development and deployment of Safeguards systems across Claude.ai, API, and cloud platforms.
• Define and prioritize product requirements for safety evals, detections, and interventions.
• Collaborate with research, policy, and engineering teams to mitigate deployment risks from powerful models.
• Develop metrics to evaluate system performance, identify blindspots, and inform future project planning.
• Communicate complex safety concepts and technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product management with a focus on data, infrastructure, or safety systems.
• Demonstrated ability to build product strategy across multiple cross-functional teams.
• Experience making technical tradeoff decisions in collaboration with AI/ML research and software engineering teams.
• Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
• Must be able to work from the San Francisco office at least 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
