Azure Cloud/DevOps Engineer (Azure/DevOps): Designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud infrastructure for federal IT environments with an accent on automation, IaC, and security compliance. Focus on building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, optimizing Azure networking, and supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments within a high-security federal framework.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Washington, D.C. (Hybrid: 4 days on-site, 1 day telework).

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, VNets, and PaaS services.
• Develop and maintain Terraform templates as the primary Infrastructure as Code tool.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Manage and optimize Azure networking components and AVD environments.
• Implement secure cloud practices aligned with NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to support cloud modernization efforts.

Requirements

• Active Secret or higher security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract and clearance mandates.
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure, Terraform, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Azure networking.
• Must be able to work on-site in Washington, DC four days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting DoD or federal agency cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Experience with Azure serverless tools (Functions, Logic Apps).
• Background in FinOps and Azure cost management.
