TL;DR

GCP Cloud Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure): Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure solutions within Google Cloud Platform with an accent on infrastructure automation, security, and CI/CD pipeline development. Focus on building scalable systems in a high-security government environment while ensuring compliance with federal standards.

Location: Must be based in Washington, DC (In-Person, 5 days/week)

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or similar tools.
• Support CI/CD pipeline automation, integration, and management.
• Collaborate with software engineers and government stakeholders on deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance and ensure cloud services meet SLAs.
• Ensure compliance with federal security standards like FedRAMP and NIST.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required for federal contract and security clearance eligibility.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain a Top Secret-level security clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, VPC, IAM).
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Linux, networking, and containerization.

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts and ATO processes.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure.
