What you will do
- Architect and maintain highly available backend systems, distributed data pipelines, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Leverage infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native tooling to manage production, staging, and development environments.
- Build and manage stream-processing jobs for high-frequency data streams with ultra-low latency.
- Collaborate with AI and Data Science teams to containerize, deploy, and monitor scalable ML models.
- Own the full development lifecycle, from system design and provisioning to proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
- Mentor team members and foster an engineering culture centered around automation and distributed systems.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship available.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend systems, distributed architectures, and infrastructure management.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Rust for high-performance, concurrent code.
- Production experience with stream-processing frameworks, specifically Apache Flink.
- Deep experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Nice to have
- Experience with Apache Pulsar or Kafka for event-driven architectures.
- Rust experience with async runtimes like Tokio.
- Familiarity with MLOps frameworks and GPU orchestration in Kubernetes.
- Background in aerospace, aviation, or safety-critical networks.
