TL;DR
Systems Engineer III (Windows/Linux): Supporting and optimizing critical infrastructure services with an accent on environment architecture, automation, and system reliability. Focus on managing complex application environments, performing security remediation, and mentoring junior engineers within a large-scale enterprise.
Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Arlington, TX (Hybrid: 2 days onsite/3 days remote)

What you will do
- Manage and support critical server and application environments, including OS and application updates.
- Architect and re-architect services to improve process efficiency and system performance.
- Perform code deployments for IIS, Tibco, and JVM-based applications, including after-hours support.
- Mentor lower-level engineers and provide senior-level escalation for production issues.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Automate manual processes and tasks to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- 7-10 years of experience managing Windows/Linux servers and infrastructure.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and configuration management tools (Ansible/Puppet/Chef).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and on-call rotations.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Relevant industry certifications.
- Experience with AI-enabled workflows and tools.
