Senior System Administrator (AWS): Administer and support cloud-native infrastructure powering FBI CJIS’s telecommunication systems with an accent on AWS-hosted services including AWS Connect, EC2, and S3. Focus on provisioning, configuring, monitoring, security hardening, and automating infrastructure to ensure high availability, compliance, and 24/7 uptime.

Location: Remote (US only, Active Secret clearance or above required)

What you will do

• Administer AWS GovCloud infrastructure for Linux VMs, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and patching.
• Manage AWS Connect telephony services for high availability, security, and performance in mission-critical communications.
• Monitor performance with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Splunk; diagnose and resolve issues for 24/7 uptime.
• Implement security measures like hardening, encryption, IAM, VPC, security groups, and MFA to meet FBI CJIS standards.
• Automate infrastructure with IaC tools (CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform) and support data backup/recovery.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and SAFe Agile ceremonies; participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance or above.
• 7+ years Linux sysadmin experience, 3+ years AWS (preferably GovCloud).
• Deep AWS Connect knowledge: call flows, Contact Lens, Lex/Lambda integration.
• Hands-on with IAM, CloudWatch, S3, EC2, CloudFormation, VPC, security groups, load balancing.
• Automation with Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation; cloud security (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).
• SAFe Agile experience with JIRA and Confluence.
