TL;DR

Tech Data Author (Aerospace): Authoring Time Compliance Technical Directives (TCTD) and modification instructions for the F-35 program with an accent on engineering data analysis and parts list compilation. Focus on providing technical support to field maintainers and ensuring accuracy of aircraft modification documentation.

Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Fort Worth, Texas. Position is hybrid with part-time remote work.

What you will do

• Author Time Compliance Technical Directives (TCTD) and Modification Kit Parts Listings (MKPL).
• Coordinate with the engineering community to determine modification and retrofit requirements.
• Analyze complex engineering data and compile necessary parts lists based on Change Requests.
• Collaborate with graphic artists to create technical illustrations for documentation.
• Provide field technical support to maintenance and modification teams during verification events.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen to obtain the required Secret security clearance.
• Demonstrated experience in aircraft maintenance, modification, or project management.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and process specifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work on-site in Fort Worth, TX as part of a hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Technical writing experience.
• Direct experience with F-35 maintenance or modification programs.
• Familiarity with SGML/XML authoring.
• Experience with F-35 Engineering and Logistics systems (JDL, PDM, QAD, ATLAS, VAS, SFM).
• Experience at military aircraft operational or flight test sites.
