Design Engineer 2 (Electronic Security)

What you will do

• Design integrated electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection solutions.
• Develop system concepts, technical specifications, and requirements aligned with client needs and project scope.
• Produce Bills of Materials (BOMs), estimates, and supporting documentation for project proposals.
• Create design deliverables, including 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC drawings using AutoCAD and BIM.
• Coordinate system architecture, installation, and integration activities across cross-functional teams.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend cutting-edge security technologies and product solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical systems design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, and MS Office 365.
• Ability to obtain a US government Top Secret Clearance.
• Associate degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence.
• Clear understanding of project phases from conceptual design through commissioning.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Certifications or training with Milestone, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, or S2.
