What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex and high-severity cyber security incident responses, coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Design and execute threat hunting programmes, translating intelligence into actionable detections and control improvements.
• Own detection coverage and risk mapping aligned to MITRE ATT&CK to identify and drive prioritised uplift initiatives.
• Produce high-quality incident reports, including root cause analysis, timeline reconstruction, and remediation recommendations.
• Act as a technical escalation point and mentor for junior analysts to uplift investigation quality across the team.
• Optimize security tooling and evolve incident response playbooks to reflect current threats and technologies.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in cyber security incident response and managing complex, multi-vector incidents.
• Expertise in threat hunting, detection engineering, and security operations within enterprise or critical infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, and cloud security platforms for detection and response.
• Advanced analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure with incomplete data.
• Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain Security Clearance.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical findings into executive-ready insights.
