Principal Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Act as a Vulnerability and Risk Management SME and advisor for some of the world's largest organizations.
• Conduct discovery sessions with prospective clients to identify security challenges and business drivers.
• Create and deliver custom portfolio demonstrations based on discovery and real intelligence.
• Develop business value propositions to drive sales and exceed revenue targets.
• Collaborate with internal peers to build shared knowledge and influence product direction.

Requirements

• Must be based in Sydney, Australia.
• Prior experience in a security-related technical pre-sales role.
• Ability to lead technical discussions from a deep technical level up to the executive level.
• Strong self-starter attitude with high determination and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% within the territory.

Nice to have

• Experience with Nessus or other network security technologies.
• Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, network security, and enterprise OS security administration.
• Experience with modern cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack.
• Docker, DevOps knowledge, API scripting, and Python SDK.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as PCI, FISMA, SOX, or NERC.
• BS in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of direct SE experience.
• Security certifications like CISSP, GIAC, or CEH.
