What you will do

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Perform detailed financial analysis, reconciliations, and variance investigations to provide business insights.
• Ensure full compliance with Spanish local GAAP, IFRS, tax, and C-SOX requirements.
• Prepare statutory accounts and collaborate with local and global audit teams.
• Partner with global Tax, Treasury, and Regional Finance teams on cross-functional projects.
• Lead, coach, and develop the local Controlling team to create a high-performing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and Spanish local GAAP.
• Proven experience in finance or accounting, ideally within a Big Four firm or multinational organization.
• Experience managing local tax reporting and statutory compliance in Spain.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Must be based in Madrid, Spain.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Experience working with SAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
