What you will do

• Safely operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to maintain production.
• Monitor Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) processing lines and empty hoppers to prevent backups.
• Communicate with Control Room Operators and supervisors via radio to ensure efficient operations.
• Perform daily routine equipment inspections and maintain required log sheets.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and initiate work orders for repairs.
• Execute lockout and tagout procedures to support maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment (front loaders, excavators, dozers, skid steers, etc.).
• Must be able to pass a daily respiratory fit test and qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
