TL;DR
Senior Application Support Engineer (Infrastructure/DB): Ensuring reliable execution of scheduled workloads and supporting complex application environments with an accent on industrial job schedulers and relational databases. Focus on monitoring, administration of middleware (Tomcat, JBoss), and managing infrastructure backups.
Location: Hybrid: 2 times a week in Porto office (Requires Portuguese/EU citizenship or valid Portuguese work permit)

What you will do
- Ensure reliable execution of scheduled workloads using VTOM or equivalent tools in production environments.
- Provide query support, monitoring, and basic administration for relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Manage and maintain infrastructure backups.
- Support and configure middleware including Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, and IIS.
- Handle networking and identity management using LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, Active Directory, and Kerberos.
- Utilize scripting languages like Shell, Python, or PowerShell for automation.
Requirements
- 9 years of experience as an Application Support Engineer.
- Proficiency in relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Experience with Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, or IIS.
- Knowledge of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, Active Directory, and Kerberos.
- Skill in Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
- English: B2 level required.
- Legal: Must have Portuguese/EU citizenship or a valid Portuguese work permit.
