TL;DR
Transactional Accounts Assistant (Finance): Manage day-to-day transactional finance operations across Accounts Receivable, Banking & Accounts Payable with an accent on accurate invoicing, cash allocation, and reconciliations. Location: Manchester (Hybrid: minimum 50% of working time per month in the office)

What you will do
- Prepare and issue sales invoices, credit notes, and commission payment instructions; allocate receipts and investigate unallocated cash.
- Process daily cashbook transactions, investigate discrepancies and timing differences, and support monthly bank reconciliations.
- Handle assigned Accounts Payable activities, support supplier payment queries, and work within purchase order and approval procedures.
- Support financial controls by identifying and escalating issues, discrepancies, and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation; collaborate with colleagues across the business.
Requirements
- Minimum of six GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
- Previous experience in a transactional finance role covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Banking.
- Strong experience with invoicing, cash allocation, and reconciliations.
- Experience using an ERP finance system (e.g., NetSuite or similar).
- Good Excel and general IT skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in a regulated or highly controlled environment.
- Experience processing high transaction volumes across multiple legal entities.
