TL;DR

Credit Controller (Finance): Managing customer accounts and debt collection processes to ensure healthy cash flow and accurate financial records with an accent on stakeholder communication and query resolution. Focus on assessing credit risk, maintaining sales ledger accuracy, and supporting monthly reporting activities within a medical technology environment.

Location: Must be based in Sheffield, UK (Hybrid: 3 days on-site at Thorncliffe Park, 2 days remote).

What you will do

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of customer accounts and chase outstanding debt via phone, email, and written communication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment queries.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and process manual invoices and credits.
  • Support cash allocation and bank statement postings.
  • Assess customer accounts, review credit limits, and manage blocked order releases to mitigate financial risk.
  • Support monthly reporting and ensure compliance with company documentation procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
  • Solid understanding of sales ledger processes and financial administration.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.
