Business Development Manager (Fintech)

Location: Taipei, Taiwan; scope covers Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China.

What you will do

• Manage daily operations, issue resolution, and performance tracking for Direct Carrier Billing and Local Payment Methods partners.
• Maintain and grow relationships with merchants, carriers, eWallets, banks, PSPs, fintech companies, and other payment providers.
• Identify new partnership opportunities, research decision-makers, and support merchant expansion across Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and regional markets.
• Negotiate commercial terms, costs, and performance improvements with payment partners.
• Coordinate merchant launches with Product, Integration, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Finance, Risk, and Operations teams.
• Monitor regulatory developments, market trends, competitor activity, payment flows, API integrations, settlements, and user experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, account management, payment operations, enterprise sales, or a related commercial role.
• Strong knowledge of the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China payment ecosystems, including Direct Carrier Billing, Local Payment Methods, PSPs, eWallets, banks, carriers, and alternative payment methods.
• Strong relationship management, negotiation, communication, research, analytical, and project management skills.
• Fluent English and Mandarin required, with the ability to work across Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and regional markets.
• Experience in fintech, PSPs, digital payments, banking, mobile commerce, or financial services.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with international teams, regional stakeholders, or global companies.
• Exposure to acquiring banks, merchant networks, FPS, account-to-account payments, eWallets, or other alternative payment methods.
• Knowledge of Greater China regulatory environments and local payment landscapes.
