TL;DR

Business Development Manager (Payments): Manage Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) and Local Payment Methods (LPMs) partner growth across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China with an accent on partner performance operations, commercial negotiations, and regulatory/market research. Focus on improving payment reliability and partner satisfaction while identifying and progressing new payment partnerships and merchant launches.

What you will do

  • Run day-to-day operations for existing DCB and LPM partners, including issue resolution and performance tracking.
  • Manage and grow relationships with merchants and payment partners to increase transaction volume and performance.
  • Identify, research, and qualify new partnership opportunities across carriers, eWallets, banks, BNPL providers, PSPs, and fintech platforms.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and drive performance optimizations with payment partners.
  • Support new merchant launches by coordinating with product, integration, compliance, and legal teams.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and market/competitor activity, and deliver business proposals and partner reports.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, account management, payment operations, enterprise sales, or a related commercial role.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin to operate effectively across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China.
  • Strong understanding of the Taiwan/Hong Kong/China local payment ecosystem (DCB, LPMs, PSPs, eWallets, banks, carriers, and major local payment methods).
  • Proven relationship management and negotiation skills with the ability to work with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and research skills to assess market opportunities, regulatory developments, competitor activity, and partner performance.
  • Experience with fintech/digital payments/banking/mobile commerce/financial services is highly preferred.
