Location: Hybrid (Manchester, UK). Must be able to work from the Aeroworks office in Manchester City Centre one day every two weeks.

What you will do

• Build scalable backend systems and platforms to ingest, process, and distribute hotel inventory.
• Develop systems for supplier connectivity, pricing, and availability freshness.
• Optimize high-performance databases and cache systems to support hundreds of thousands of daily searches.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and commercial teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Ensure operational excellence and high performance of distributed services at scale.

Requirements

• Experience building scalable backend systems and distributed services.
• Proficiency in designing and operating cloud native platforms.
• Experience with large scale, data intensive applications and event-driven architectures.
• Strong knowledge of .NET, C#, AWS, Kubernetes, and APIs.
• Ability to solve scalability, latency, and operational resilience challenges.
• Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester, UK for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Interest in AI assisted engineering and agentic coding workflows.
• Experience with modern developer tooling and observability tools.
