Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Menlo Park, CA (Hybrid: Mon-Thu in office, Fri remote).

Compensation: $165,000 – $200,000 + Equity.

What you will do

• Design and build backend services and APIs for patient booking, clinician routing, and device integrations.
• Ship full-stack product features end-to-end, from data modeling to UI implementation.
• Solve complex operational challenges including scheduling, dispatch, and clinical error prevention.
• Integrate with external health systems, telemedicine platforms, and medical devices.
• Own projects from 0 to 1, making architectural decisions and evolving engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product, data, operations, and clinical teams to turn real-world problems into software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling backend or full-stack systems in production.
• Proven ability to design APIs, data models, and services for user-facing products.
• Experience leading projects or pods from architecture and planning to delivery.
• Strong background in mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
• Experience working in high-growth startup environments with speed and ambiguity.
• Must be able to work from the Menlo Park office Monday through Thursday.

Nice to have

• Experience in health tech, logistics, or operationally complex environments.
• Knowledge of supply/demand dynamics, forecasting, or scheduling.
• Familiarity with regulated environments and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with large-scale data platforms and pipelines.
