Senior Backend or Full-Stack Software Engineer (Backend/Fullstack): Building and scaling core backend services and APIs for last-mile healthcare delivery with an accent on patient booking, clinician routing, logistics, and device integrations. Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid: office Monday–Thursday; work-from-anywhere Fridays)
Salary: $185K–$230K (offers equity)

What you will do
- Design and build backend services and APIs for patient booking, clinician routing, logistics, and device integrations
- Ship full-stack features end to end (data modeling, business logic, UI, and user flows) if working full-stack
- Solve complex operational problems such as scheduling, dispatch, safety checks, and error prevention at scale
- Integrate with external health systems, telemedicine platforms, and medical devices reliably and securely
- Collaborate with product, data, ops, and clinical teams to turn real-world needs into shipped software
- Own projects from 0→1, make architectural decisions, and evolve engineering practices as the company scales
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling backend or full-stack systems in production
- Experience designing APIs, data models, and services powering user-facing products
- Ability to lead projects end to end (architecture, planning, delivery, and iteration)
- Experience mentoring engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance
- Comfort working in startups/high-growth environments with speed, reliability, and ambiguity
- Experience with regulated environments and security/privacy best practices (HIPAA)
