What you will do

• Build and maintain backend components using Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, and RESTful APIs.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing workflows with a focus on observability and monitoring.
• Operationalize AI solutions within AWS, including Amazon Bedrock model management and latency optimization.
• Implement RAG strategies, including embedding, vector search, and relevance tuning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and deliver features for veteran-facing services.
• Ensure all backend services meet performance, security, and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
• 5-8 years of experience in backend development with Ruby on Rails.
• Proven experience with RSpec and system analysis.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock, RAG implementation, and AI agent integration.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
