What you will do

• Own and optimize the full accounts payable (AP) cycle to drive automation.
• Partner with the finance team to execute month-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Manage the corporate credit card program and enforce company-wide spend policies.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for year-end audit requirements.
• Contribute to internal controls and process documentation to support business scalability.
• Leverage AI and automation tools to improve financial data integrity and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of professional accounting experience.
• CPA designation or actively pursuing the credential.
• Proficiency with AP and month-end workflows.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and vendor management.
• Experience or familiarity with US GAAP standards.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Toronto.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a tech or startup environment.
• Familiarity with Rillet or similar accounting ERP systems.
