What you will do
- Drive the evolution of the Feature Rollout Service to support complex service-to-service communication.
- Lead the architecture and delivery of a new experimentation platform for consistent product testing.
- Partner with engineering teams to ship Typeshare 2.0 and improve cross-language type safety.
- Improve developer experience by reducing toil through automation and schema refactoring.
- Establish technical guardrails to balance platform velocity with operational maturity and security.
- Mentor engineers and influence roadmap strategy based on technical constraints and infrastructure opportunities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience in a production SaaS environment.
- Must be based in the United States or Canada.
- Hands-on experience building platform-level services like feature flagging, schema management, or developer tooling.
- Proven ability to design scalable backend services and APIs spanning multiple teams.
- Proficiency in Go.
- Strong communication skills to align stakeholders across frontend, backend, and product teams.
Nice to have
- Experience migrating to centralized feature flag or A/B testing systems at scale.
- Familiarity with schema type systems and cross-service type safety.
- Experience with developer experience tooling such as build systems, CI/CD, or changelog automation.
- Familiarity with Nix, monorepo tooling, or code generation frameworks like Typeshare.
