TL;DR
Growth Engineer (Typescript/Python): Developing and optimizing patient booking systems and engagement flows to transition the company toward a product-led motion with an accent on experimentation, funnel optimization, and multi-channel engagement. Focus on building backend systems for activation and measuring core metrics to drive patient care access.
Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA (Office Monday through Thursday)
Compensation: $165K – $250K + Equity

What you will do
- Design and ship experiments to drive patient bookings, including copy tests and new in-product booking flows.
- Optimize multi-channel engagement across SMS, phone, email, and mail to reach underserved populations.
- Define and monitor funnel metrics to identify drop-offs and improve activation and conversion.
- Run rapid brainstorming and sizing exercises to prioritize growth bets.
- Share insights via reporting and experiment reviews with cross-functional partners.
- Test unconventional outreach tactics and simulate volume to match clinical supply and demand.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work hybrid in San Francisco, CA (office Mon-Thu).
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- 2-3 years of experience on a growth or experimentation-focused team.
- Experience building backend systems that power experimentation, messaging, funnels, or activation flows.
- Proven track record of shipping and measuring experiments that move core metrics like conversion and retention.
- Experience mentoring early-career engineers and holding pod-level ownership of projects.
Nice to have
- Experience in high-ambiguity, zero-to-one, or Product-Led Growth (PLG) environments.
- Ability to own the full loop from sizing and building to launching and measuring.
- Comfort with scrappy tooling and lightweight experiments.
