What you will do

• Own and evolve compute infrastructure provisioning across bare metal, VMs, containers, and cloud platforms.
• Define and tune system-level behavior for CPU, memory, storage, and network utilization.
• Design repeatable provisioning workflows using IaC tools like Terraform and Pulumi.
• Shape runtime characteristics, workload placement, and resource efficiency at scale.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in I/O throughput and network behavior.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate the implementation of production-ready infrastructure.

Requirements

• Experience at the systems/infrastructure layer, including OS behavior and runtime environments.
• Proficiency in operating Kubernetes, including scheduling and cluster lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with containerization, virtualization, and multi-environment infrastructure provisioning.
• Understanding of distributed systems and how resource constraints impact scalability.
• Experience with system-level observability, profiling, and performance analysis.
• Must be based in the USA

Nice to have

• Exposure to query engines or analytical data platforms like Presto, Trino, or Spark.
• Background in big data infrastructure and high-volume data pipelines.
• Experience with eBPF, kernel performance tuning, or NUMA-aware configurations.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects.
