TL;DR

Software Engineer - Sensor, macOS (Cybersecurity): Building and maintaining core sensor components for the Falcon endpoint protection platform with an accent on low-level macOS subsystems and system telemetry. Focus on developing high-concurrency multi-threaded architectures and optimizing performance and memory usage for security-critical agents.

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site in Sunnyvale, CA)

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop core sensor components for macOS using C++ and Swift.
• Implement features interacting with core OS subsystems such as file systems, memory, processes, and networking.
• Own the full development lifecycle from design to delivery of platform features.
• Collaborate with distributed multi-functional teams to develop shared components across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex product issues reported by customers.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C/C++ and Swift, demonstrated through professional experience or community contributions.
• Experience developing macOS product code with high concurrency and multi-threading requirements.
• Proven ability to optimize low-level operating characteristics, including memory usage and performance.
• Experience shipping major features and releases as part of a software engineering team.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Sunnyvale, CA.
• Experience utilizing AI technologies to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
