What you will do

• Code, test, analyze, and review backend code for accuracy, functionality, performance, and security.
• Drive the software development lifecycle by defining sprint goals, ensuring operational stability, and leading product launches.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers to raise technical competence.
• Communicate technical plans and solutions to stakeholders, including executives, cross-functional teams, and clients.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other teams to align technical solutions with business and regulatory objectives.
• Document architectural designs and create developer guides to ensure knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Location: must work remotely within Texas (Austin, TX office address provided).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Java developer, including 6+ years in Java Enterprise development.
• 5+ years with Spring Framework (or equivalent) and 4+ years with Hibernate or equivalent JPA frameworks.
• 4+ years of concurrent programming experience for real-time transaction systems (e.g., Actor Model, CompletableFuture, thread pools).
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/Oracle/DB2/MS SQL) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra/MongoDB), plus compliance-focused software development.
