Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 + equity

What you will do

• Develop and improve SMT assembly equipment and processes including pick-and-place, reflow, and inspection systems.
• Optimize reflow profiles, stencil designs, and solder paste processes for high-reliability assemblies.
• Program and troubleshoot automated SMT equipment and vision systems.
• Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to maintain build cadence and ensure hardware compliance.
• Create and maintain assembly procedures, work instructions, and traceability records in the MES.
• Monitor process performance metrics and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, green card holder, or protected individual) due to ITAR regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, or materials engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing or hands-on engineering.
• Strong hands-on aptitude and ability to work directly with hardware on the production floor.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience setting up manufacturing floors for first article builds.

Nice to have

• Hand soldering and PCB rework experience.
• Ability to read and redline electrical schematics.
• Experience with crimping, wire stripping, and continuity testing.
• Proficiency with test tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and calipers.
• Experience with potting and epoxies.
