What you will do

• Design and develop assembly fixtures, jigs, and manufacturing tooling using 3D CAD.
• Act as the primary contact for international fabrication partners and manage external equipment vendors.
• Procure, assemble, validate, and maintain fixtures and related manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues to optimize quality, yield, and production throughput.
• Collaborate with automation vendors to deploy and optimize robotic manufacturing solutions.
• Support NPI and process development in coordination with the U.S. engineering team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or tooling.
• Expert proficiency in CAD for designing tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment.
• Deep understanding of materials (plastics, metals, adhesives) and processes like injection molding, machining, and stamping.
• Proven track record of improving manufacturing processes, quality, and yield.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be based in San Francisco

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in consumer electronics or precision manufacturing.
• Experience scaling consumer electronic products from development through full production.
• Experience with wearable products featuring demanding industrial design and cosmetic requirements.
