Operations Supervisor (Second Shift)

TL;DR

Operations Supervisor (Second Shift): Oversee day-to-day execution of a defined value stream to ensure safe, on-time, high-quality production with an accent on takt time, KPI performance, and flow across the work center. Focus on leading Team Leads and Operators, enforcing standard work and 5S, and driving continuous improvement through daily tier meetings and root cause analysis.

What you will do

• Lead daily execution of production activities in the assigned work center to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate Team Leads and Operators; enforce accountability, safety, and teamwork.
• Ensure adherence to daily build schedules and takt time; escalate risks to production targets to the Operations Manager.
• Track performance metrics (output, defects, rework, attendance, downtime) and lead Tier 2 daily management meetings.
• Coordinate with Planning, Materials, Quality, and Maintenance to keep the work center ready (materials, tools, documents, etc.).
• Enforce safety protocols, 5S, standard work, and operational policy compliance; support onboarding, cross-training, and upskilling.

Requirements

• Location: 100% in-office presence in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada
• Bachelor’s in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; or 5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated leadership in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment, including 1+ years in a formal or informal leadership role.
• Experience with takt time, standard work, visual management, and daily tier meetings.
• Proficiency with basic digital tools (ERP, Excel, production dashboards).
• Strong people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Compensation range: CAD $38.46–$55.30/hr plus shift premium; bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included.
