Director Of Project Controls (Data Centres)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands; the role may also be based from any hirify.global office across its global network.

What you will do

• Define and deliver a project controls strategy aligned with regional and organisational objectives.
• Establish governance, standards, processes, and performance frameworks across projects and geographies.
• Oversee planning, scheduling, cost management, procurement, contract administration, and resource planning.
• Lead portfolio-wide risk management, cost optimisation, benchmarking, reporting, and executive decision support.
• Drive digital tools, automation, analytics, real-time reporting, and operational process improvement.
• Build and develop an internationally distributed project controls team and collaborate with clients, contractors, project, construction, and commercial stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in project controls, programme management, or major capital projects.
• Leadership experience in complex construction environments such as data centres, pharmaceutical, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects.
• Expertise in planning, cost control, risk management, reporting systems, governance, and process improvement.
• Understanding of regional construction markets and regulatory environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, client-facing leadership, and data-driven decision-making skills.
