Director, European Health Data Space (EHDS) Programme Management

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days onsite weekly, in Beerse, Belgium; Leiden, the Netherlands; High Wycombe or Maidenhead, UK; Allschwil, Switzerland; or Spring House, Titusville, or Raritan, United States. Remote work may be considered case by case with company approval.

Salary: Netherlands €101,000–€174,800; Belgium €119,200–€204,355; Switzerland CHF163,000–CHF280,485 annually.

What you will do

• Set the EHDS programme strategy, integrated delivery approach, roadmap, milestones, and success measures.
• Lead cross-functional execution across regulation monitoring, operating model design, technology enablement, data inventory, change management, and governance.
• Establish decision rights, escalation paths, reporting, and controls for risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and decisions.
• Align Global Development, Legal, Privacy, Regulatory Affairs, Technology, Data Transparency, MedTech, and other business functions.
• Direct resource planning, external support, vendor relationships, executive reporting, and transition to sustainable internal ownership.
• Lead change management covering impact assessment, communications, training, readiness, adoption, and business-as-usual transition.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a scientific, technology, healthcare, or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of relevant pharmaceutical, healthcare, technology, or scientific experience, including leadership of large, complex, cross-functional programmes.
• Expertise in programme and portfolio management, integrated planning, risk and dependency management, resource planning, change management, executive reporting, and decision governance.
• Experience leading people, senior individual contributors, vendors, or multidisciplinary teams in a global matrix environment.
• Working knowledge of the EU regulatory environment and data-related obligations; familiarity with EHDS, GDPR, clinical trial transparency, data governance, or regulated technology implementation is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder influence, negotiation, critical thinking, prioritization, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Project or programme management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or SAFe.
• Experience with advanced analytics, database management, data security, data stewardship, performance measurement, or emerging technologies.
