TL;DR

Head of People (HR): Driving the execution of the People Vision and roadmap to build scalable organizational foundations with an accent on performance management, reward systems, and leadership development. Focus on rebuilding employee lifecycle processes, improving retention, and coaching managers within a scale-up environment.

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam; must be based in or around Amsterdam with strong in-person presence

Salary: €6,200 – €7,000 per month

What you will do

• Deliver the People Vision and roadmap end-to-end, shaping the execution strategy.
• Act as the voice of employees within the leadership team and challenge founders when necessary.
• Rebuild foundations for performance expectations, strategic clarity, and L&D strategy.
• Simplify and scale the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
• Establish clear career leveling, progression paths, and a transparent reward philosophy.
• Coach and develop managers through a capability framework to improve retention and engagement.

Requirements

• Senior People experience within a scale-up environment.
• Ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution.
• Strong ownership and the courage to challenge leadership and founders.
• Solid understanding of Dutch labour law and regulations.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Must be based in or around Amsterdam.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Dutch language.
