TL;DR
Software Engineer (DBaaS): Architecting and developing Database-as-a-Service infrastructure for 's database systems with an accent on high availability, scalability, and performance across multi-cloud environments. Location: Must be a US citizen. Hybrid (at least 50% in office) in Reston, VA, USA
Salary: $137,000 - $205,400 USD

What you will do
- Architect, design, develop, and manage DBaaS for Database Infrastructure.
- Design and develop APIs to improve the availability, scalability, and performance of databases across multiple clouds.
- Build APIs and dashboards to measure and track database KPIs.
- Implement observability and auto-remediation techniques for database monitoring.
- Provide support for large-scale database instances across production and development environments.
- Partner with service and performance teams to drive architecture improvements and resiliency.
Requirements
- Must be a United States citizen (naturalized or native).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (TS/SCI w/CI Poly preferred).
- 6+ years of experience managing production workloads on MySQL, PostgreSQL, and CloudSQL.
- 3+ years of backend development experience using Golang, Python, or Java.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and modern DevOps technologies.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, and Ansible.
- Familiarity with Ceph Storage, Gluster, Vitess, or Percona tools (MHA, Galera).
- Experience with database replication, clustering, and HA/DR strategies.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science.
