What you will do

• Architect, design, develop, and manage DBaaS for hirify.global Database Infrastructure.
• Design and develop APIs to improve the availability, scalability, and performance of databases across multiple clouds.
• Build APIs and dashboards to measure and track database KPIs.
• Implement observability and auto-remediation techniques for database monitoring.
• Provide support for large-scale database instances across production and development environments.
• Partner with service and performance teams to drive architecture improvements and resiliency.

Requirements

• Must be a United States citizen (naturalized or native).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (TS/SCI w/CI Poly preferred).
• 6+ years of experience managing production workloads on MySQL, PostgreSQL, and CloudSQL.
• 3+ years of backend development experience using Golang, Python, or Java.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and modern DevOps technologies.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with Ceph Storage, Gluster, Vitess, or Percona tools (MHA, Galera).
• Experience with database replication, clustering, and HA/DR strategies.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science.
