What you will do

• Execute monthly closing activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and data uploads into Cognos.
• Analyze large datasets to prepare accruals and resolve variances between actual and forecasted income statement balances.
• Manage inter-company transactions and ensure accuracy of financial statement schedules in accordance with GAAP.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure adherence to internal policies and assist with internal/external audits.
• Identify process improvements and document new accounting policies and procedures.
• Support the Accounting Manager with ad hoc analysis and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 2-5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP principles and general accounting functions.
• Basic understanding of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) act and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and vlookup functions.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in accounting or finance.
• Chartered accountant certification (US CPA or IMCP).
• Experience in public accounting or working within a global organization.
• Previous experience in the software industry.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP and Cognos.
