TL;DR

What you will do

• Define and lead the Data Science strategy for Product, embedding advanced analytics, data science, and AI into product development.
• Advise senior Product and Engineering leadership to ensure data-driven decision making at the highest levels.
• Develop and drive adoption of next-generation data science tooling, platforms, and frameworks focused on automation, scalability, and reproducibility.
• Explore and integrate emerging AI technologies (e.g., Agentic AI and AI Agents) from proof of concept to production.
• Own complex analytical projects, applying experimentation, causal inference, and uplift modeling with statistical rigor to deliver commercial and customer value.
• Mentor and develop Data Scientists and Analysts, and communicate complex analytical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data science or a similar quantitative role with a proven track record influencing a product organization.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Deep hands-on experience with statistical modeling, (quasi) experimentation, multi-arm bandits, and machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering).
• Ability to define, implement, and operationalize product and feature-level metrics from scratch.
• Proven ability to drive strategic impact and lead technical discussions across Product, Engineering, Design, and Commercial teams.
• Experience scaling analytics capabilities via automation, self-service tools, or data products.

Nice to have

• Advanced programming background to build simulations and prototype data products.
• Experience validating quantitative findings with qualitative methods (surveys, user research).
• Applied AI experience such as NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Agentic AI for analytics.
• Experience in a two-sided marketplace, e-commerce, or travel technology industry.
• Master’s degree or equivalent relevant education.
