What you will do

• Lead architecture and delivery of new backend services and major features from RFC to production, including subscription engine, external integrations, and microservice decomposition.
• Set and uphold code-quality standards through code review and make architectural trade-offs across performance, maintainability, and delivery speed.
• Develop backend services in Python/Django: REST APIs, business logic, and integrations with payment systems, CRM (Maestra), analytics, and fiscal services.
• Optimize PostgreSQL performance (complex queries, indexing, profiling, N+1 and ORM tuning) and use Docker and Redis for stable, scalable environments.
• Drive monolith-to-microservices migration: define service boundaries, API contracts, and data-migration strategies.
• Own quality and reliability via security reviews, monitoring/alerting, technical debt management, fault tolerance, and scaling under load; mentor engineers through interviews, onboarding, 1:1s, retrospectives, and pair programming.

Requirements

• 6+ years of commercial experience with Python/Django.
• Strong PostgreSQL expertise: complex queries, indexing, profiling, and performance optimization.
• Experience designing REST APIs and microservice architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Redis (caching, queues, pub/sub).
• Track record with high-load systems and sound architectural decision-making.
• English at Upper-Intermediate level or above.

Nice to have

• Experience in classifieds/marketplaces/e-commerce.
• Integration experience with payment and fiscal services.
• AI development workflow as part of daily routine (Cursor, Claude Code, LLM prompting).
• Experience with monolith-to-microservices migration.
• Experience with Celery, Kafka/Redpanda, and Elasticsearch.
