Senior Software Engineer (Libra - Legal AI Assistant) (m/w/d) (AI)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid role with at least eight days per month in the office. Remote work is available for up to three days per week, with the option to work from anywhere within the EU for up to 20 days during a 12-month period.

hirify.global's Legal & Regulatory division is building Libra, an AI platform that helps legal and compliance professionals research, draft, and deliver legal work.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain product features across backend APIs and frontend interfaces.
• Develop scalable, high-performing features for the Libra legal AI platform.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver intuitive user experiences.
• Apply best practices for code quality, security, architecture, and scalability.
• Contribute to technical decisions and engineering culture.
• Explore and integrate AI tools and agents into developer workflows and product capabilities.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant product software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong Python experience, particularly with FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
• Solid TypeScript proficiency.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices and security principles.
• Excellent English communication skills and availability for the hybrid Berlin office schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with Svelte.
• Experience using AI coding agents such as Cursor or Claude Code.
• Experience building or contributing to LLM-powered products.
• German language skills.
