What you will do

• Own real-time protection UI and surfaces: block/warning pages, phishing & scam alerts, and threat-interception flows across extension, web, and mobile.
• Own protection status, reporting & remediation: security dashboard, “what we protected you from,” and user flows from detected threat back to safety.
• Own the client-side protection engine: in-client logic that scans, intercepts, and protects in real time, partnering with security to deliver end-to-end behavior.
• Set and maintain a security-grade quality bar for accuracy, speed, and clarity; make “great” objective and repeatable.
• Lead as a player-coach: build alongside the team, raise standards, and grow people and the client engineering team.
• Build AI-native using AI tools and agents to multiply output, with judgment to verify before trusting.

Requirements

• Senior engineering experience (5+ years building products).
• Product-minded client engineering background with strong UX, performance, and polish in shipped work.
• Security mindset (defender thinking, false-alarm vs missed-threat tradeoffs); ideally experience in security/safety/privacy/anti-abuse products.
• World-class client engineering first (React + TypeScript for web; ideally React Native and/or browser extension experience).
• Enough backend capability (Python) to own features end-to-end.
• Ability to lead by raising the bar and shipping fast without lowering quality.
