Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end frontend experience for the billing domain, including invoices, payments, and tax details.
• Establish frontend architecture patterns, state management, and performance budgets from the ground up.
• Define and uphold engineering excellence through CI/CD optimizations and testing strategies (Unit, Integration, Cypress).
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to translate business goals into technical roadmaps.
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers through design reviews, pairing sessions, and direct feedback.
• Lead cross-squad initiatives and contribute to engineering guilds to align technical standards across the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience architecting scalable and evolvable React applications.
• Ability to lead customer-facing features from design handoff to a polished, shipped product.
• Strong expertise in frontend observability, performance monitoring, and defining SLOs.
• Knowledge of frontend security practices and secure handling of sensitive payment data.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Barcelona.
• English: Proficiency required as it is the official office language.

Nice to have

• Experience with or strong interest in modern AI-augmented workflows and agentic coding.
