Senior Software Engineer II (Golang/PHP)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy microservice applications and scalable platforms using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Transform existing single-region monolithic platforms into distributed, cloud-native microservices architectures.
• Develop and maintain mission-critical, high-traffic Razer ID API microservices.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and product stakeholders to ensure architecture meets functional and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns while establishing engineering best practices and architectural standards.
• Provide technical expertise for critical production issues in coordination with the SRE team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Golang, PHP, or equivalent backend technologies.
• Strong experience deploying and operating applications on AWS.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, multi-region deployments, traffic routing, and global failover strategies.
• Proficiency in cloud-native technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with gRPC, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
