What you will do

• Collaborate with multiple production teams across various Radio 1 departments to support live shows.
• Participate in creative meetings to contribute ideas for programme content.
• Complete a range of production duties both during and prior to live broadcasts.
• Engage in weekly mentorship sessions to discuss professional development and progress.
• Gain a comprehensive 360-degree view of the operations of a national broadcaster.

Requirements

• Legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the placement.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Must be available for an in-person interview in Salford on 9 September 2026.
• Full-time availability from 12 October to 4 December 2026.
• Ability to travel to Birmingham for training during the first week.
• Genuine passion for music, youth culture, and media production.
