What you will do
- Establish and implement strategic procurement processes, including sourcing methodology, governance, templates, and KPIs.
- Develop material group strategies and category roadmaps for timber, steel, windows/façades, and MEP.
- Lead supplier discovery, RFx, benchmarking, and award decisions for construction materials.
- Execute commercial and contractual negotiations regarding pricing, frameworks, and terms and conditions.
- Shape supplier segmentation and SRM routines, including performance reviews and risk mitigation.
- Drive procurement professionalization through process automation, data analytics, and change management.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in procurement consulting or 7-10 years in strategic sourcing.
- Proven expertise in implementing material group and dual-sourcing strategies with measurable impact.
- Strong negotiation, contracting, and analytical skills (TCO, risk analysis).
- Fluency in both English and German (minimum B2 level).
- Must be based in or able to work from Berlin, Germany.
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA and data-driven procurement routines.
- Deep knowledge of construction-material markets, specifically timber/CLT, steel, and MEP.
