TL;DR
Technical Author (Security): Implementing technical documentation programmes, contractual documentation, and online library content for managed security services with an accent on S-Series Integrated Product Support, Defence Logistics Framework, and ITIL methodologies. Focus on coordinating authoring activities, reviewing subcontractor data, and maintaining documentation across technologies, platforms, locations, and solutions.
Location: Onsite in London - Euston, United Kingdom
Additional DV security clearance allowance: £5,000 per annum, payable monthly while the clearance is held and required

What you will do
- Implement the Technical Documentation Management Plan and the wider technical documentation programme.
- Create, maintain, and coordinate contractual documentation, programme plans, and online technical library content.
- Coordinate authoring activities supporting the SA process and collect technical documentation data from subject-matter experts.
- Review subcontractor-supplied data and provide review and comment reports through the ILSM.
- Support the negotiation and review of contract and subcontract requirements.
- Attend project review meetings, report on technical documentation activities, and advise on ILS technical documentation issues and initiatives.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a technical author or technical writer.
- Experience working in a quality-driven environment using a technical control system, such as a regulated industry.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF, including styles, cross-references, and captions.
- Demonstrable technical document writing experience.
- Knowledge of Def. Stan. 00-600, Def. Stan. 00-601, or S1000D.
- Successful candidates must undergo DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance.
Nice to have
- Broad engineering experience.
- Understanding of systems integration or systems engineering.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools and manipulating CAD for technical illustrations.
