Technical Author (Security)

TL;DR

Technical Author (Security): Creating, developing, and maintaining complex technical documentation for managed security services with an accent on compliance with S1000D specifications and Defence Logistics Framework. Focus on coordinating authoring activities, collaborating with SMEs, and ensuring high-quality contractual documentation within a regulated environment.

Location: Must be based in London, UK (Onsite). Requires DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Implement the Technical Documentation Management Plan (TDMP) and maintain associated contractual documentation.
• Coordinate authoring activities to support the SA process for online libraries.
• Collaborate with SME areas to collect and verify technical documentation data.
• Review subcontractor-supplied data and provide reporting through the BT ILSM.
• Assist in the negotiation and review of contract and sub-contract requirements.
• Attend formal and ad-hoc project review meetings to advise on ILS TD issues.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for and able to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance.
• Demonstrable experience in a technical author or writer role.
• Experience working in a quality-driven environment utilizing technical control systems.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF.
• Knowledge of Def. Stan. 00-600, 00-601, or S1000D standards.

Nice to have

• Broad engineering experience.
• Understanding of systems integration or systems engineering.
• Experience with CAD manipulation for technical illustrations.
