Salary: $75,000–$90,000 CAD

What you will do

• Design and maintain audit engagement methodologies, workflows, and templates within the audit portfolio.
• Translate U.S. auditing standards and regulatory requirements into practical, logic-driven software solutions.
• Develop automated procedures for risk assessment, internal controls, and workpaper documentation.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and subject matter experts to define requirements and validate functionality.
• Identify opportunities to enhance audit workflows through automation, analytics, and emerging technologies.
• Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in external audit within a public accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of audit methodology, risk assessment, internal controls, and engagement execution.
• Hands-on experience applying U.S. accounting and auditing standards.
• Experience performing financial statement audits for private or public companies.
• Must be able to work from the Toronto office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• CPA designation.
• Experience with hirify.global Working Papers or Cloud Audit platforms.
• Experience with SOX/internal control testing.
• Previous involvement in methodology teams or technical accounting groups.
