Pre Silicon Verification Engineer (Mixed Signal)

Location: Virtual Canada; candidates must live and work in Canada. The role is remote from the greater Toronto metropolitan area until hirify.global's Toronto office is operational, after which it will follow a hybrid model requiring on-site presence at least four days per week.

Annual salary: CAD 109,380–154,420, depending on location and experience.

What you will do

• Develop and execute verification plans for mixed signal components against architectural and microarchitectural specifications.
• Build and maintain test benches and verification environments for functionality, timing, power, and coverage validation.
• Create analog behavioral and system simulation models for presilicon bug detection and resolution.
• Replicate, debug, and root-cause design issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with digital and analog architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams.
• Improve verification infrastructure and use scripting and AI-based tools to streamline test generation and triage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 1+ years of design verification experience, or a Master's degree with 0+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog and Verilog for verification.
• Experience debugging presilicon issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex design challenges.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python for verification automation.
• Must live and work from Canada and be able to meet the future Toronto-area hybrid requirement.

Nice to have

• Expertise in OVM and UVM methodologies.
• Experience developing test environments and planning for coverage and reliability.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles in design verification.
• Experience using AI-based tools to improve verification methodologies.
• Cross-functional collaboration and clear communication of design insights.
