VP Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Set the software engineering strategy, architecture direction, technology standards, and multi-year technical roadmap for Digital Transformation.
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted development, reusable scaffolding, golden paths, documentation-as-code, and engineering foundations.
• Drive automation across build, testing, delivery, and release processes, including Continuous Delivery, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Define productivity goals using DORA, cycle time, and time-to-release metrics, driving measurable improvements in throughput and quality.
• Lead the Head of Development, Cyber Development Lead, and Enterprise Architect while shaping the engineering operating model and organization design.
• Provide executive-level technical advice on architecture, platform, investment, build-versus-buy, integration, security, reliability, performance, and operability decisions.

Requirements

• Experience leading software engineering functions at scale and delivering substantial improvements in engineering practices and delivery.
• Practical experience introducing AI and automation into software engineering with foundations that support adoption at scale.
• Deep knowledge of Continuous Delivery, DevOps, cloud, and engineering productivity measurement, including DORA or cycle-time metrics.
• Strong architecture background, including setting direction across complex integrated estates and leading a Technical Design Authority or similar forum.
• Experience establishing engineering standards, golden paths, reusable foundations, re-platforming programs, operating models, and organization designs.
• Executive-level influence with experience managing vendors and partners.
