Staff Developer Advocate

Staff Developer Advocate (DevRel): Driving hirify.global awareness and engagement through events, community building, and developer-focused content with an accent on outward-facing technical communication and feedback loops from the developer community. Focus on planning and hosting meetups/hackathons, creating event-derived recaps and tutorials, and representing hirify.global on stage while aligning developer narratives with product and messaging.

Location: Hybrid, San Francisco

Salary: $210K–$284K (Offers Equity)

What you will do

• Drive awareness of hirify.global with new developer audiences, especially in the Bay Area.
• Plan, host, and participate in developer events (meetups, hackathons, workshops, conferences).
• Amplify events via digital channels and create content from events (recaps, demos, tutorials, blogs, social posts).
• Collect community insights (trends, patterns, narratives) and feed them back into product, messaging, and DevRel strategy.
• Represent hirify.global in community forums and on stage, speaking about hirify.global technology to developer audiences.
• Experiment with new event formats and collaborate cross-functionally with DevRel, PMM, and Product to keep developer narratives consistent and authentic.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Developer Advocacy, Developer Relations, or Technical Evangelism, with a strong emphasis on events and community engagement.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with willingness to travel for conferences and events.
• Comfortable being outward-facing: speaking to groups, hosting sessions, and building relationships in developer communities.
• Strong technical communication skills for clear, engaging presentations and written content.
• Hands-on technical background (comfortable writing code samples, running demos, or building prototypes).
• Experience planning and executing developer events (meetups, hackathons, workshops, or conference tracks).
