What you will do

  • Modernize legacy services using AI to analyze codebases, extract clean APIs, and implement strangler fig patterns.
  • Build AI-powered development infrastructure, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop reusable AI tooling and automation using LLM APIs, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot.
  • Ship modernized services in fast cycles with measurable improvements in performance and reliability.
  • Train and mentor engineering teams on AI-enabled workflows and best practices.
  • Document AI-driven patterns and share productivity data across the organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with deep Java backend expertise.
  • Strong background in microservices architecture, API design, and legacy system migration.
  • Hands-on experience building with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agentic AI solutions.
  • Proven track record of using AI development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) in production environments.
  • Experience implementing AI-assisted CI/CD pipelines for code review, testing, and security.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid model from the London office.
