What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of Senior Data Engineers and AI Platform Interns, overseeing technical growth and delivery quality.
• Drive the implementation of an Agentic AI platform, including orchestration layers, vector databases, and AWS-hosted services.
• Deliver high-impact AI use cases such as Trader, Quant, Risk, and Treasury Copilots.
• Own the delivery of scalable data engineering capabilities for structured and unstructured data ingestion and transformation.
• Partner with Quant and Systematic teams to enable research workflows, backtesting support, and systematic trading productivity.
• Champion production-grade engineering standards, focusing on CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability.

Requirements

• Strong domain understanding of commodities trading is essential.
• Significant experience leading data engineering, AI engineering, or platform delivery teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and the Python data ecosystem (e.g., Pandas).
• Strong experience with cloud-native engineering, preferably AWS (S3, Lambda, Athena, EMR).
• Practical understanding of Generative AI architectures, including RAG and prompt engineering.
• Must be based in London, United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience with ClickHouse or Redshift.
• Exposure to agentic AI frameworks like LangChain, n8n, or AWS Bedrock.
• Familiarity with AI governance and the EU AI Act.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Databricks, or Hive.
