Data Design Analyst (Gamedev)

What you will do

• Partner with game development, analytics engineering, and data science teams to define gameplay telemetry needs.
• Design scalable telemetry specifications to capture player behavior and game systems accurately.
• Translate analytical requirements into event designs, schemas, naming conventions, and validation rules.
• Review telemetry designs for quality, consistency, and suitability for reporting and ML use cases.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers to reduce transformation complexity and improve data reliability.
• Maintain documentation and design standards for event taxonomy and lifecycle management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, data design, or game analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or analytical field.
• Strong understanding of event-based data, schemas, and data quality principles.
• Proficiency in SQL for investigating and validating large-scale behavioral datasets.
• Excellent written communication skills for creating technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail regarding data lineage and implementation constraints.

Nice to have

• Experience with game telemetry and live service analytics.
• Familiarity with behavioral event taxonomies and data catalogues.
• Knowledge of analytics engineering workflows.
